When people from product, quality, engineering, support, and marketing all work on the same beta test, it helps to use the same words for the same things. Beta programs also vary from one company to the next, so the same idea often goes by different names.
This two-page cheat sheet defines the terms that come up across a beta test, from alpha and private beta to triage, regression, and the non-disclosure agreement. Many entries list common synonyms as well. Keep it close to hand, or send it to your team at a moment's notice.
